A MOTORIST had a lucky escape when his car hit a lamppost in Pilsworth.
The man was driving a Vauxhall Corsa in Pilsworth Road near the Asda supermarket when the vehicle skidded off the road and hit the post at about 10am on Tuesday.
Police said nobody was injured in the incident and damaged was caused to the front of the vehicle.
Andrew Pomfret, who saw the damaged car, said: "It looks as though the driver wasn’t able to get round the bend completely and has skidded off and hit a lamppost."
