A DRIVER ran off after crashing into a parked car.

Police said a red T-reg Renault Clio collided with a Vauxhall Corsa in Melbourne Road, Deane, at 11pm on Tuesday.

The motorist at the wheel of the Clio abandoned the hatchback and fled the scene.

Firefighters were called out to make the crashed Clio safe, although there was no fire.

Bolton Central crew manager Carl Greaves said: "The owner of the Corsa had only recently bought it a matter of days or weeks before."
