A MORRIS dancing troupe are celebrating a trophy-laden end to their year.
The Farnworth Aces returned from their end of season championships, held at Pontins in Prestatyn earlier this month, with four titles to their name.
Sonia Bleakley was crowned Leader of the Year in the competition’s senior section and Leader on the Day, while Tracy Entwistle was named Senior Inter Champion Dancer.
The group also won in the four to six age group category and came third in the junior section.
Sandra Smith, who runs the troupe with her three daughters, said: “It was a really good end to our season. We have been going for 22 years and have been pretty successful in that time. Some of our dancers have been with us from the start and have their own children who come here too. It is a real family thing.”
The group meet every Tuesday at the Newbury Community Centre.
