DRIVERS could face delays on roads around Bolton today.

A high level of disruption is expected for four days in Tonge Moor due to temporary traffic lights.

The lights will be in operation in Thicketford Road from today until Thursday while United Utilities Water carry out some works.

In Daubhill a lane closure during off peak times in St Helens Road is also expected to cause some disruption for today only while Bolton Council Highways department repair a manhole.

Temporary traffic lights will also be working at off peak times in Plodder Lane at the junction with Watergate Lane for United Utilities Water work for one day only.

A low level of disruption is also expected to run from today until tomorrow with Stop and Go signs in Scout Road and Walker Fold Road for grass cutting, litter picking, and general maintenance by Highways.

Motorists on a main road in Bromley Cross are warned to expect delays tomorrow.

Temporary traffic lights in Darwen Road opposite the Co-operative super market are expected to cause some disruption to travel times.

The lights are in place for Tuesday only and will operate during off-peak times while Bolton Council highways department fixes a manhole.

General maintenance and routine cleaning work will also see stop and go signs controlling traffic in Belmont Road, Smithills, and Old Kiln Lane in Markland Hill on Tuesday and Wednesday.
