AN 89-year-old woman had valua-bles stolen by thieves after she helped them find water to put a bunch of flowers in.
Two males, described only as 'tall', entered the pensioner's home in Keswick Road, Burnley, around 2.15pm on Thursday through an unlocked back door.
One asked her for a glass of water for some flowers they had bought and, while she was distracted, the other male asked if he could use her toilet and went to a bedroom.
He then stole a brown wallet containing cash, two pairs of gold hoop earrings, and a pair of silver earrings with an amber stone, worth a total of £260.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
