THIEVES stole six laptops worth £500 each from a school.
Lowerhouse Junior School, in Liverpool Road, Burnley, will now have to find the money to replace the essential equipment to ensure there are enough computers for the children.
They were originally bought by the PTA and it is now hoped enough has been raised from last weekend's summer fair to replace them.
Headteacher Dominic Conti said: "We are all deeply disappointed equipment that used by all the pupils has been stolen in such a manner."
Two men were seen acting suspiciously near the premises.
One was white, 5ft 7, short cropped hair, stocky build, with a strong Liverpool accent.
The other was Afro-Caribbean, 6ft 2, of stocky build, wearing blue jeans, a blue and mustard Fred Perry T-shirt with white trainers.
Contact police on 01282 472121.
