A MACHINE operator who took hard drugs used them socially and was not addicted, Burnley magistrates heard.
The court was told how Michael Green, 38, had drugs in his car when police searched him at a Burnley garage.
Green, of Bury Road, Haslingden, admitted possessing heroin, amphetamine and cannabis.
He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and must pay £65 costs.
The court was told Green, who told officers the drugs were for his own use, had a criminal record but had not been in court since 2003.
Geoff Ireland, defending, said Green had no convictions or cautions for drugs offences.
He was a social user in the confines of his own home.
