SCHOOLGIRLS were the target of a flasher who shouted at them to get their attention before revealing himself, on Tuesday.

The two 12-year-olds were on their lunch break when the incident happened, at about 2pm, in Olympia Street, Burnley.

The man called to them before indecently exposing himself as they turned around, causing the girls to run away in alarm.

They alerted teachers at their school and the police were informed.

The man is described as a white male, aged 30 to 40 years, of medium height, with short, scruffy and curly, dark brown hair.

He was wearing a long sleeved blue top and blue overall-type trousers.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
