A woman has celebrated her 100th birthday and said her long life was thanks to hard work - and "never getting married".
Lillian Almond, who lives at Blakewater Lodge in Swallow Drive, Blackburn, celebrated her big day with a party.
The event was attended by her niece Barbara Bullen, who travelled from her home in France.
Lillian was born in Ripon Street, Blackburn, worked in the cotton mills from the age of 12 until she retired as a 60-year-old in 1967.
She said: "I've worked hard all of my life and enjoyed myself."
Lillian, who is holding a birthday card from the Queen, is pictured with her great great nephew Isaac Kershaw, great niece Judith Bullen and niece Barbara Bullen.
