BRIGHT young thing Assia Al-Jerrari achieved a stunning A* and two As.
Her achievement was made all the more remarkable as she sat the exams while fasting during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Now the Bolton Sixth Form College student will continue her education in London, studying law at the prestigious Queen Mary campus of the University of London.
The 18-year-old said: “I feel really good. I worked hard and it was quite stressful and difficult. I would be in the library until 8pm, it was tiring.
“I was fasting during the exams as well.
“I did not sleep last night because I needed the A* to get into the university.
“I’m so overwhelmed with the results, its unbelievable to have them and know that my parents are so proud of me.”
