A MAN who has admitted carrying out an aggravated burglary has been warned by a judge to prepare for a prison term.
Colin Sheppard, aged 22, of Nutter Road, Accrington admitted aggravated burglary at an address in Coleridge Street, Blackburn, to inflict grievous bodily harm on a person.
The charge states that he had a metal bar with him at the time on February 20th this year.
His barrister Miss Bernadette Baxter told a Preston Crown Court hearing: "He is under no illusions as to the ultimate outcome of the case".
Judge Pamela Badley told the defendant "You have pleaded guilty to a serious offence. You must be under no illusions - this is going to lead to a custodial sentence.
"On the sentencing date you must be prepared for that".
Sheppard was remanded on conditional bail for sentencing on July 11.
One of the conditions is not to go within 200 metres of the address in Coleridge Street.
