A COLNE garage will be allowed to continue respraying vehicles after a planning deal was reached.
Councillors had ordered a meeting with the firm and residents after complaints that the spray booth flues were causing constant noise.
Residents had asked members of Pendle Council's Colne and District Committee to refuse retrospective planning permission for the chimneys at CJ Hardie, Windsor Street, forcing the firm to take them down and putting the spray-painting operation out of action.
But after the meeting and site visit, the company agreed to add more lagging to the flues in an attempt to further reduce noise.
Committee chairman Councillor Sharon Davies said: "We had a very constructive meeting and I no longer have any problem with granting planning permission."
