A CUDDLY toy that was stolen from a car in Bolton has been reunited with its owner.
Hazel Kerwin, 35, was devastated at the theft of the stuffed toy lamb, which she had made in memory of her son Daniel, who died in 1996 after being born prematurely.
The toy was inscribed with her son’s name, date of birth, weight and a message that read “always loved, forever missed”.
After countless appeals on Facebook, the cuddly toy was found, on June 30, in the entrance of Royal Bolton Hospital by a member of staff and after a joint effort by Miss Kerwin’s friends was cleaned and sent back to its owner.
Hazel Kerwin, who now lives in Cornwall, said: “I am very pleased that Daniel bear has arrived with me. Huge thank you to everyone that shared his picture. I can’t describe how relived I am to have him back.”
