A MOTORIST was left with a suspected head injury after his car rolled over when it left a country road.
The red Citroen C1 crashed on a bend in Broadhead Road near Pickup Bank village between Darwen and Edgworth.
It is not thought any other car was involved.
A spokeswoman for Lancashire Constabulary said: "We were called at around 7.55am to car in a field at the junction of Pickup Bank Road and Broadhead Road in Hoddlesden.
"It looks like the car has rolled.
"There is a possible head injury to the man, thought to be 35.
"The road was closed between the junction of Grane Road and Jackson Heights Road and the junction of Moorside Road and Broadhead Road."
A spokeswoman for North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 7.40am to the junction of Broadhead Road and Pickup Bank Road to road traffic collision involving a male.
"We sent one ambulance and conveyed the patient to Royal Preston Hospital.
"There is no details of injuries but the hospital was put on stand by, which is an sign of major trauma."
