SHOPPERS enjoyed a fun day at a convenience store celebrating its rebranding — just over a week after thieves blew up its cash machine.
Families visited Nisa Local in Market Street, Little Lever, to enjoy entertainment and offers as part of a relaunch.
The party came after burglars blew up the exterior ATM in the early hours of July 13 and stole cash.
Owner Bhavesh Parekh said: “It was good to bring the community together. We overcame obstacles and it proves we can carry on.”
He also handed over £500 to Ladywell School, a special school in Little Lever.
Mr Parekh said: “It was the school around our local community that needed the most help and support.
“The money will buy equipment and allow the school to continue to do all its extra curricular activities.”
