THESE are the views across Bolton that tenants of a new town centre office block will be able to enjoy.

The shots have been taken from Bolton Council's £6.5 million development, which is taking shape at the corner of Great Moor Street and Newport Street.

The office block, which is being funded by the council, through its public sector partnership firm PSP Bolton LLP, is expected to be completed early in the New Year.

It is being created alongside the borough's new £48 million transport interchange, which is also expected to open for use in early 2017.

Cllr David Chadwick, the authority's lead for special projects, was invited inside the office building to see the progress being made and take in some of the new views of Bolton on offer.

He said: "I saw some great views of the town that I had obviously not seen before. I think these offices will be a great place for people to work in when they are completed.

"They will be glass fronted offices and they are being built in a very modern way in a great location with lost of nearby amenities."

Cllr Chadwick also revealed that the council has had a number of firms register interest in taking on offices in the new development.

The office building also offers views of the new state-of-the-art Ethylene Tetra Fluoro Ethylene roof that has been fitted as part of Transport for Greater Manchester's £48 million interchange.

Cllr Chadwick said both projects remain on course to be completed in the New Year.

He added: "We hope that these two developments, along with the work taking place to improve the Newport Street shopping area will provide a real facelift to that area of the town centre and provide a new gateway for people arriving in Bolton."
