Sentenced over assault

LAURIE Langley, aged 26, Kenyon Way, Little Hulton, has been given a six-month conditional discharge after she admitted to Salford magistrates that she assaulted a man in Salford on Boxing Day last year.

Langley must also pay £215 court costs.

Six points for offences

A KEARSLEY man has admitted to Salford magistrates that he drove without insurance and a licence.

Jordan Sheridan, aged 22, of Grosvenor Street, committed the offences while driving a Ford Focus in Denbigh Road, Swinton, on June 21.

He was given six penalty points and ordered to pay £255 in fines and court costs.

Fine for car tax fail

SUNDIP Bedi, aged 35, of Selby Close, Radcliffe, has been fined £440 for keeping an untaxed car in Draycott Road, Bolton, on April 22.

The offence was proved in Bedi’s absence at Salford Magistrates Court and he must also pay £175 court costs.

Driver fined for red-light error

A FARNWORTH man drove through a junction 32 seconds after the lights turned red.

Alva Lindo, aged 48, of Shillingford Road, committed the offence while driving an Audi in Kings Road, Trafford on January 2.

He admitted the charge to Salford magistrates and was ordered to pay £190 in fines and court costs and given three penalty points.

Driver did not have a licence

A MOTORIST failed to stop for police and was caught driving without a licence or insurance.

Kieran Doddy, aged 20, of Buile Hill Avenue, Walkden, committed the offences while driving a Rover 25 in Hilton Lane, Walkden, on April 8.

He was convicted of three motoring offences at Salford Magistrates Court and ordered to pay £811 in fines and court costs and given eight penalty points.

Driver is fined

A GREAT Lever man has been ordered to pay £1,031 in fines and court costs after driving without a licence or insurance.

Oliver Varga, aged 18, of Westbourne Avenue, committed the offences while driving a Rover 45 in Prince Street, Bolton, on April 30.

He was convicted at Salford magistrates and given six penalty points

Schoolboy crashed Volkswagen Golf

A SCHOOLBOY has appeared in court after taking a car and crashing it into a junction box.

The 16-year-old, of Little Hulton, who cannot be named for legal reasons, took a Volkswagen Golf without the owner's consent on June 4 and crashed it into a junction box in Manchester Road, Little Hulton.

He admitted taking the vehicle without the owner's consent, driving without a licence and driving without insurance at Salford Youth Court.

The boy was given a youth rehabilitation order and ordered to pay £75 compensation to the vehicle owner, plus £55 court costs.

Driver banned over offences

A MOTORIST who drove without a licence, insurance or MOT has been banned from getting behind the wheel for a year.

Peter Kolompar, aged 19, of Mornington Road, Heaton, committed three motoring offences while driving a Citroen Xsara in Victory Road, Little Lever, on March 9.

The offences were proved at Salford Magistrates Court under the single justice procedure.

Kolompar was also ordered to pay £811 in fines and court costs.

Peace breach

A STONECLOUGH man has been bound over by Bolton Magistrates' Court.

Luke Hamblett, aged 27, of Wallwork Close, caused a breach of the peace on July 16 in Bolton and was bound over for 12 months to the sum of £100.

Man fined over driving offence

LEE Ballegher, aged 46, Verbena Avenue, Farnworth, has been given six penalty points for not telling people the identity of a driver.

Police asked Ballegher on January 6 to name the driver of a Seat Ibiza as they were investigating an alleged offence.

The charge was proved at Salford Magistrates Court under the single justice procedure and Ballegher was also ordered to pay £811 in fines and court costs.

Convicted driver can still use car

MARTIN Ward, aged 38, Lynwood Avenue, Great Lever, has been allowed to keep his licence despite driving without insurance.

Ward was convicted of the offence at Salford Magistrates Court after he drove a Mitsubishi Shogun car in Bolton Road, Kearsley on January 3 without insurance.

However, magistrates decided not to ban him from driving under the totting up procedure because Ward said he would lose out on a new job if he could not drive.

Ward was ordered to pay £360 in fines and court costs and given six penalty points.

No licence for riding a scooter

A GREAT Lever man has been given six penalty points for riding a scooter without a licence or insurance.

Shaun Holt, aged 28, of Lever Edge Lane, committed the offences while riding a Peugeot Jet Force 125cc scooter in Lever Edge Lane on May 6.

He was convicted at Salford Magistrates Court and also ordered to pay £261 in fines and court costs.

Driving charge

DONNA Mills, aged 34, of Thorn Well, Westhoughton, has been given six penalty points and ordered to pay £225 in fines and court costs after admitted to Salford magistrates that she drove a Vauxhall Corsa in Haynes Street, Daubhill, without insurance on February 18.
