A TEN-MILE walk will be thirsty work for a group of charity supporters hoping to raise funds for Bolton Hospice.

Friends Donna Knowles and Jill Reece are inviting people to join them on the '10 miles 10 pubs' walk event, which is in its third year.

The walk will take place on September 24, starting at The Bay Horse in Babylon Lane before stopping off at other pubs in Anglezarke, Adlington and Horwich.

Stephanie Lacaille, from Bolton Hospice, said: “We’re always delighted when our supporters come up with their own fundraising ideas and we’re so pleased that Donna and Jill have once again organised this lovely walk.

"Last year they raised over £6,000 for the hospice which was fantastic and makes such a difference to the patients and their families who access our services”.

Registration will be held between 9am and 10am on September 26 at The Bay Horse, Babylon Lane.

The other pubs taking part are the Yew Tree Inn, Anglezarke, Top Spinners at Cowling, The Black Horse at Limbrick, Bottom Spinners, The White Bear Inn, Adlington, Adlington Cricket Club, Elephant and Castle, Adlington, Top Spinners, Adlington and the Bay Horse, Horwich.

Entry costs £10, and children and dogs go free.
