THE future is green — just take a look at these lot!
The big-hearted youngsters at Chorley New Road Primary School in Horwich are swapping their school uniform for all things green to raise money towards building a helipad on the roof of The Royal Manchester Children's Hospital car park.
A total of £3.9 million is needed to create the helipad to provide quick air ambulance access to the hospital and nearby Manchester Royal Infirmary, St Mary's and the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital
After being told about the campaign, the children decided they wanted to help.
Headteacher Linda Burrows said: "The children have fully backed this fundraising event as they are aware of the importance of such a resource in order to provide rapid access for patients wherever they are in the North West".
The school is one of many taking part in the Be Seen In Green fundraiser in aid of the hospital.
