WELLIES and rain macs are out for the second day of Parklife 2016.

Revellers show no signs of being put off by the wet weather as they descend on Heaton Park for a Sunday of music and dance.

Bury Times:

About 75,000 people are expected to turn out for the event today.

Early arrivies escaped the rain but the heavens look set to open.

Bury Times:

Sunday is not promising good weather sadly, with a forecast of rain throughout the day and maximum temperatures of 16c.

Bury Times:

Revellers have had to contend with muddy grounds but main stage acts like Ady Suleiman have brought a feel-good vibe.

Fortunately there’s plenty of live acts to raise the roof.

Hip hop legends De La Soul had the crowd jumping and cheering in the mud and slippy conditions haven't stopped audiences dancing in the tents for big DJ acts like 99 Souls.

Bury Times:

Today's line-up includes headliners Major Lazer on the Main Stage and Busta Rhymes at The Temple. There’s also Jamie XX, Radio One DJ Annie Mac, singer Jess Glynne and hip hop legends De La Soul.

Gates opened at noon, with the event ending at 11p. Last entry is at 5pm.

There will be three public entry and exit gates to Parklife this year which are - West Gate located on Bury Old Road, East Gate which is on Sheepfoot Lane and the North Gate is by the Lake in Heaton Park. The fast-track entrance to Parklife for VIP ticket holders is located on Bury Old Road to the north of West Gate.

The Parklife Travel Pass allows people to travel on either the direct Parklife Shuttle bus or Metrolink services from Manchester City Centre. The Parklife Shuttle bus drops off right inside the festival site. Click here for more information
