THE latest sporting superstar to appear at the Macron Stadium for an after dinner speech certainly packs a punch.

Boxing champion Lennox Lewis will be at the stadium on Friday, July 8.

The Macron will also play host to Pele on September 17, with all of the events being organised by the same promotions company.

The Lennox Lewis event will also include a four course meal, a question and answer session with the former boxer about his career, live entertainment and a memorabilia auction.

The British boxer holds the title of being the last undisputed world heavyweight champion, after unifying different belts in the sport following his defeat of Evander Holyfield in 1999.

He also defeated Mike Tyson and Vitali Klitschko during his career, and is regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time.

Lewis, who holds dual British and Canadian citizenship but was born in London, retired from the sport in 2004, having beaten every opponent he ever faced in professional competition.

He is the second boxing legend to appear at the macron, following in the footsteps of superstar fighter Floyd Mayweather.

Promoter Des Brewer from Legends and Icons, the company behind the events, said: "We are delighted to announce that Lennox Lewis, three times undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, will be appearing at the Macron stadium on Friday July 8.

"This event will be exclusive to the Macron only, and will will include special guest Sky Sports pundit Johnny Nelson."

Ticket prices for the event start at £99, ranging from £149 which includes a photo with the boxer, to £199, which secures front row seats.
