A BOLTON boyband created by Take That's manager are hoping to 'Rule the World' after finding its fifth and final member.

Lewis Maxwell, aged 16, from Liverpool, completes the group alongside members Cian Gleeson, of Horwich, Luke Robin Gregory, from Bolton, Sonny Jake Hardman, of Atherton, and Joel Healy, from Salford.

Formerly named Salford Lads Club the band is now going by the new name of Yes Lad and hope to launch into the pop world in October.

Managed by Nigel Martin Smith the lads said they are hoping to bring back the classic boyband dance routines in likeness to their music mogul's most successful band — Take That — but with a more modern twist.

Atherton teenager Sonny Jake Hardman, of Car Bank Street, has been labelled the ‘cute’ member of the group a description formerly given to Take That's Mark Owen.

The 19-year-old said: "It would be great if I went on to be as successful as him.

"It’s funny to be labelled the ‘cute one'.

" I don’t really see it myself but everyone is saying it and I’m pretty happy with it.”

Unlike band members Cian, aged 19, and Luke, aged 21, who had previously worked with manager Nigel, Sonny said he saw an advertisement in the paper to join the new boyband on the block.

The former Bedford High School pupil said: “I am over the moon to have been accepted into the group.

“It’s not really sunk in yet. My family are made up and I’m really excited, but I am still in a daze with it all.

"It has been absolutely crazy but it has been really amazing and I can’t thank Nigel enough for this opportunity.

“If I can achieve my dream anyone can, so people should keep working hard and never give up on their dreams.”

Cian, Luke and Joel have been dubbed ‘the leader’, the ‘sensible one’ and the ‘ladies’ man’ respectively, but Lewis is yet to be branded with his label, having only just joined the group.

Cian, from Horwich, said: “I think there is a real gap in the market for a band like us.

“We want platinum selling albums and to be selling out arenas.”
