TWO men had to be cut out of a car after it crashed into the central reservation of the M65.
The incident, involving a white Audi A4, happened on the westbound carriageway between junction 7 (Rishton) and junction 6 (Blackburn) at 7.45pm this evening.
Two fire engines from Hyndburn Station and one from Blackburn attended the scene and firefighters cut a door off the car to free the driver and passenger.
The men, who are believed to be in their late 20s or early 30s, were taken to hospital by ambulance. A spokesman for the fire service said he believed their injuries were not serious.
Firefighters were at the scene for around 30 minutes.
Two lanes of the westbound carriageway were closed to allow firefighters to free the men and for the car to be recovered.
No other vehicles were involved.
