BOLTON comedian Diane Morgan has put pen to paper and created a doodle to raise money for charity.

Diane, who has found fame TV fame appearing on Charlie Brooker’s Weekly Wipe as comedy character Philomena Cunk, took part in National Doodle Day yesterday.

She is one of a range of celebrities to doodle to raise money for Epilepsy Action.

Other stars to take part in the appeal include actress Olivia Colman, football manager Jose Mourinho and comedian Frank Skinner.

All of the scribbles will go under the hammer in a three-day online auction on eBay, which will close tomorrow.

As well as bidding for a celebrity scribble, Epilepsy Action is encouraging doodlers all over the country to create a doodle and donate.

The awareness day has been created to raise awareness of epilepsy, with a survey conducted by the charity finding that 88 per cent of people with the condition worry about having a seizure when they are in public.

Holly Rawlings, doodler in residence at Epilepsy Action, said: “Every year we are overwhelmed with doodle-tastic support from celebrities, and always look forward to seeing them all flooding in. National Doodle Day gives everyone a chance to get their hands on an original piece of art by their favourite celebrities. It also raises incredibly valuable funds for people affected by epilepsy all over the UK.”
