ANOTHER company from Bolton is in line for an award celebrating digital innovation.
Cre8txt Ltd, based at the University of Bolton, has been nominated for a Big Chip Award, the annual competition and awards ceremony celebrating North-west digital excellence.
The company, aided by students from the University's design studio, has created a computer keyboard that turns text-speak into perfect English.
The device is similar to a mobile phone keypad and uses WordLogic predictive text technology.
The WordLogic Prediction Engine predicts text selected from a database of frequently used words and is also capable of translating SMS text language into full text.
Crea8txt joins Fudge, the marketing communications company based in Mawdsley Street, Bolton, as a nominee in the awards, which are presented in Manchester on Thursday.
