FIREFIGHTERS were called yesterday at 10.30pm to a blaze at a derelict building in Chorley.
The former Indian restaurant on the corner of Brook Street and Eldon Street was well alight when firemen arrived and the fire had spread to the roof, said watchman Joe Joseph.

Firefighters entered the building but were pulled out due parts of the floor being missing.
An arial platform was then used to put out the fire by around midnight.
The building was already in a poor condition and the fire has almost removed the first floor, the fire service said.
Firefighters are working with the police to investigate how the fire started.
