A DAUBHILL woman has been charged with drugs offences.

Taylor Wallace, aged 20, of Normanby Street, is accused of the possession of heroin and cannabis with intent to supply.

She was remanded in custody along with co-accused Assim Ali, aged 31, of Berwick Avenue, Whitefield, when they appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Thursday, August 20.

On Tuesday, August 18, GMP and Cumbria Police stopped a car as a joint operation into the supply of drugs, and they recovered a large amount of heroin.

At the same time Operation Challenger officers executed a misuse of drugs act warrant at a flat in Lever Court, Salford, where a large amount of heroin and cannabis was also recovered.

Det Sgt Andy Buckthorpe said: "Programme Challenger is Greater Manchester's innovative approach to tackling serious and organised crime.

"Through collaboration with partner agencies and the general public, Challenger uses various intelligence-led methods to disrupt and dismantle organised crime groups across Greater Manchester."
