HERE is the first glimpse of Bolton's Peter Kay playing a Cockney in a new BBC2 comedy.
The funnyman is starring in Cradle to Grave - a dramatisation of broadcaster Danny Baker’s autobiography, Going To Sea In A Sieve.
The 42-year-old plays Danny’s father, Fred ‘Spud’ Baker, a proud south London docker with a penchant for cheeky scheming.
Set in 1974, it follows the real-life events of Danny and his family and also features former EastEnders and The Bill actress Lucy Speed.
In March, film crews were spotted filming scenes for the biopic in Walker Fold Road, Horwich.
Cradle to Grave airs at 9pm on September 3, on BBC2.
