A PLANTER moved from outside Ramsbottom Heritage Centre has been safely returned.
Would-be thieves attempted to steal the heavy stone planter, but abandoned it further up Carr Street.
The Ramsbottom Heritage Society thanked the help of member Linda de Ruijter, staff at Irwell Street Metals, and Mark Aspin of MA Excavations in Crow Lane, for their help in recovering the planter, which was donated by Colonel and Mrs Mucklow in 1990.
