POLICE have caught up with a man suspected of a town centre hit and run.
The suspect has been quizzed by police following the incident in Bradshawgate in the early hours of Saturday, which left a 28-year-old man in hospital with serious injuries.
He was crossing the road when he was hit by a Vauxhall car, which was travelling along Bradshawgate in the direction of Great Moor Street.
The man suffered serious injuries but is recovering well in hospital. The Vauxhall stopped briefly but then made off from the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 4742.
Officers will speak with any members of the public that have footage they wish to pass to police, and can arrange for this to be collected from the individual.
