A CARE home in The Haulgh was evacuated this morning after a tumble dryer caught fire in the basement.
Residents at Abafields Residential Home in Bromwich Street were taken out of the building at about 8.16am while firefighters from Bolton Central and Bolton North attended the scene.
Crews used breathing masks to get into the building before making it safe for residents to enter at about 9am.
Members of staff at the home did not wish to speak about the incident and no one is thought to be hurt.
