NIGHT events held at Level One nightclub in Darwen have been hailed a massive success.

Wristbands were sold to revellers visiting the Market Street venue as part of the town’s Darwen Live session.

They sold so quickly that a spokesman for the venue later took to Facebook to apologise.

He said: “We can only apologise but we did make them first come, first served, and it was the only fair way we could do it.

“However, it proved what a brilliant event it was and it sold out within three hours of the tickets going on sale.

“Thank you for your continued support. We will continue to invest in the venue and bring more huge artists to Darwen.

“How do we follow this year? We have 364 days to work it out.”

Level One has attracted several big names in the past six months, including Jess Glynne, Fatman Scoop, Cascada and Nelly.

The latest was Black Eyed Peas star Taboo, best known for performing alongside Fergie, will.i.am, and apl.de.ap in the chart-topping band.

The Black Eyed Peas have had several hits including Where Is The Love?, Don’t Phunk With My Heart, My Humps, Pump It, Boom Boom Pow and I Gotta Feeling.
