HIP's new jobs boost

HABITUS Bury & Bolton is creating new jobs as part of a nationwide company recruitment drive to boost its ranks of energy assessors to 1,000.

The new posts are required due to the introduction of the Home Information Packs (HIPs) which all residential properties must have from June 1 onwards.

A key mandatory element of the HIP is the new Energy Performance Certificate (EPCs).

According to Habitus, with an estimated 1.5 million EPCs required each year for the Home Information Packs, this is a huge career opportunity.

To become an energy assessor, no experience is required as Habitus Bury is providing an intensive 12-week training programme to prepare all candidates for exams leading to the new professional qualification of domestic energy assessor.

Fees for the training course are £3,995 with a £1,500 deposit. However, all those who qualify are guaranteed a job offer with Habitus, carrying estimated earnings of between £40,000 to £70,000 per annum and the reimbursement of all their training costs.
