A MOTORBIKE has been crushed by a lorry in Bradshaw - but its rider escaped without serious injury.
Police were called to Bradshaw Road at 5.55pm last night.
A lorry had been involved in a crash with a motorbike in a filter lane for turning right.
Despite the bike ending up underneath the lorry, with parts strewn across the road, the rider was not badly hurt.
The man was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital with broken toes, while the driver of the lorry was unhurt.
Police and council staff cleared the road of debris, but were not forced to close it at any stage.
Ashley Lee, who was driving the lorry, said: "They took him to hospital. I was turning right into a farm.
"I am just glad he is ok. It was a shock, and he could have been more seriously injured."
A police spokesman said: "We were called at 5.55pm to a crash involving a motorbike and an HGV.
"But he suffered no serious injury which is quite remarkable.
"He was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital with broken toes."
