A LORRY has hit a low bridge in Walkden.
The large articulated truck, which had "Gwynedd Shipping Group" emblazoned on the side, hit the railway bridge in Memorial Road at about 1.40pm today.
The road was closed for about 20 minutes, police said, during which time the driver managed to reverse the truck out.
Police said no damage was caused to the bridge, and no-one has been arrested.
Cllr Iain Lindley tweeted a picture of the incident, saying: "Memorial Road blocked (again) at the station due to truck hitting bridge."
Cllr Richard Critchley also tweeted aboutt the incident, saying: "Memorial Road is currently blocked as a lorry is stuck under the rail bridge. Diversions in place".
