FOR a concerned looking kitten, this eight-week-old moggy is taking his new found fame in his tiny little stride.

Whether he is chasing his tail, playing hide-and-seek in cupboards or cuddling up to his sister Amy, Concerned Kitten is very happy despite his constantly worried look.

Owners Andy and Caroline Entwistle — who live in Breightmet, with their four children Carys, aged 18, Caelen, aged six, Arlen, aged four, and Eden, aged three — fell in love with his unusual look and have even created a Facebook fan page for him.

The family have been overwhelmed by the attention he has received since he appeared on The Bolton News' Animal Magic page — and the kitten now has hundreds of online fans.

Mr Entwistle, aged 40, said: "You'd be surprised how many people think we've drawn eyebrows on him since the first story that went in the newspaper.

"When he was born they were little black dots but they've since grown into lines above his eyes. We adopted out the other two but I just looked at him and knew we had to keep him."

The little white ball of fluff is revelling in his new found fame on social media and loves posing for photographs and videos.

Mr Entwistle added: "I think the reason why cats are so popular, especially on the internet, is because they always look like they don't care about anything apart from their own thoughts, so when we put them into scenarios the outcome is really funny.

"Grumpy Cat is obviously the most popular internet cat, and although it is unlikely Gary will get that kind of fame, it's still really good that so many people like him."

The kitten, named after Take That star Gary Barlow, is very protective of his sister Amy, who has cerebellar hypoplasia meaning she cannot walk.

Mr Entwistle said: "He's so boisterous and loves nothing more than jumping over his mum Luna and his sister Amy. His favourite toy is his mum's tail. Her favourite resting place is on the couch and she deliberately swishes her tail around for him to attack.

"Gary is very protective over his sister Amy, who can't walk. Maybe that's what he's most concerned about. He cuddles up with her every day — they're best friends."
