CHARITABLE students at Bury College put their baking skills to good use to help The Christie cancer centre.

The group, who are studying an Access to Higher Education course, chose to support the charity when they were given an assignment to demonstrate their teamwork and entrepreneurial skills.

The team of six ran a cake sale, raffle and competition to raise £295.

Megan Traynor, aged 26, from Bury said: “We all know someone who has been affected by cancer and we wanted to do something to make a difference to this worthwhile cause.”
