BLACKBURN’s election hopefuls went head-to-head in a Question Time-style debate last night.
The Lancashire Telegraph hosted the event at a full-to-capacity Thwaites Empire Theatre, to give voters the chance to meet the possible successor to Jack Straw, the town’s MP for more than three decades.
Labour’s Kate Hollern, Conservative Bob Eastwood, Liberal Democrat Gordon Lishman and UKIP candidate Dayle Taylor battled it out over issues including the NHS, domestic violence and police cuts.
Polling day for the General Election is on May 7.
