A Great Harwood street looked like a "mini earthquake" had struck when a water pipe burst yesterday.
Police said gallons of water were flowing down Water Street after the pipe burst - sending water gushing into the air.
Officers sealed off the road while repairs were done by United Utilities at around 2pm.
Insp David Mangan said: "It lifted up part of the road surface and looked like it had been hit by a mini earthquake."
