CELEBRITY chef Gordon Ramsay took to the streets of Accrington to film a new series of The F-Word.
Police were treated to some of his culinary delights after spending the day with him as he filmed a programme on regional delicacies for the Channel 4 show.
Officers provided security and crowd control for Mr Ramsay while he cooked in the town's market using local food. PC Steve Hilton, of Lancashire Police, said: "When he arrived he came over to us and introduced himself with a very pleasant handshake.
"He spent most of the day filming in the market and he came across as a very friendly guy and was nice to all who approached him.
"He was cooking tripe dishes on the outdoor market and asking people to sample it, including myself, PC Louise Miller and Sgt Ian Corbett.
"We all tried the tripe dish - deep fried with onion, garlic and lemon with a pinch of flour, to quote Gordon.
"At the end of the day he thanked us for our efforts and was only too happy to have a team photo with us."
