DAVIE WEIR is looking forward to locking horns with former Everton team-mate Marco Materazzi tonight.
Rangers centre half Weir played alongside Materazzi at Goodison Park where the Italian defender struggled.
But the veteran Scotland star has been unsurprised to see him go on and flourish at Inter Milan and help Italy win the World Cup.
And he will be hoping Marco doesn't wind up any of Alex McLeish's men the way he did with Zinedine Zidane in the World Cup final in Germany last summer.
The French superstar was sent off after head butting Materazzi in the chest.
Weir said: "I'm not surprised about how well he has done.
"He always had a great deal of ability. He had a tough time in England at Everton, but it was all new to him.
"He has gone from strength to strength since then."
