GREEN spaces are vital to the health of Scots, a seminar will be told this week.
MSP Patrick Harvey will host the event at Holyrood on Thursday. It will suggest two-thirds of the population are at risk from physical inactivity.
It's claimed provision of parks and other green areas can improve the health of communities.
Julie Procter, of Greenspace Scotland, will highlight the positive effects of a quality outdoor environment, while Paths to Health speaker Kenny Steele will discuss the benefits of walking.
Angela Douglas, from the Woodland Trust Scotland, will also introduce new projects that are helping to open up recreational spaces.
