A GREAT-grandfather has died after a car crash.
John Pratt, 87, of Barnoldswick, was involved in a collision on the roundabout at the junction of the A59 and Broughton Road, on the outskirts of Skipton on Tuesday afternoon.
He had to be cut from his Renault Clio after a collision with a Mercedes Sprinter van and died later from his injuries in Airedale Hospital, Steeton.
The other driver, a 41-year-old man from Ripon, also had to be cut free but was not injured.
Police want to speak to witnesses to the crash or anyone who saw either vehicle before the incident, which happened at 2.50pm.
