A 30-FOOT wind turbine may be erected at a Darwen farm.
Stanley Garth, of Higher Grimehills Farm, Roman Road, has applied for planning permission to erect the wind turbine to the rear of his property.
The turbine would be nine metres tall loaded into a four square metre wide concrete base.
The application states no neighbours should be able to see the turbine and there will be no changes to access to the farm.
The application states: "The whole structure would be situated out of direct view of any dwellings.
"Very little landscaping will be required and access is only necessary once for erection."
No objections have been received to the application, which means it will not have to go to a planning committee and should be approved.
Darwen's first wind turbine was erected in Tockholes in October 2006 after owner Chris Driver fought off a challenge by neighbours who were worried about noise and objected to the view.
