TRAFFIC heading out of Bolton is delayed this morning on the A666 St Peter's Way, due to roadworks closing one lane just before the Kearsley spur.
Queues now going all the way back to Bradford Street, near the town centre.
Meanwhile a traffic light failure is causing issues in Derby Street in Daubhill this morning at the junction with High Street.
Drivers must approach with care.
There is congestion on the M61 southbound, going towards the M60, from junction 4 at Farnworth.
There is also slow traffic on the East Lancs Road between Astley and Worsley due to roadworks so do avoid there if you are in that area.
Also, on the M60, between junction 18 at Simister Island and 13 at Worsley, going anti-clockwise towards Bolton, delays of up to 10 minutes are reported this morning due to a build-up of traffic.
