Company owner Alan Pilkington said: “It’s not necessarily the thieves that annoy me, it’s the people out there who are buying this sort of stuff from them.”

They described it as a Ford Transit or a Renault Traffic van, and said the regist-ration started with FP05.

A spokesman said: “If anyone has any information regarding the incident could they please call PC Graham Hartley on 01254 353103 or 101, or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting reference number ED1500023.”
