FIREFIGHTERS were called to Mitella Street, Burnley, at 2.30pm yesterday, after reports were received that canisters of toxic waste were leaking.
Watch manager Peter Ashworth said: "When we attended we found eight canisters, a couple of which were opened.
"The substance in the canisters is not yet confirmed, but I was satisfied that there was no danger to the public."
