A MAN had to be cut from his car following a crash in Bury this morning.

Crews from Heywood and Rochdale attended the incident on Pilsworth Road that involved two cars at 6.38am today, Sunday.

One man became trapped in his car and was conscious and breathing but complained of neck and back pain.

Greater Manchester Police recovered one car while firefighters made the other safe and removed the roof to free the casualty.

He was handed over to the North West Ambulance Service and taken to North Manchester Hospital.
