THE People’s Tenor Russell Watson sang at Blackburn Cathedral with Westholme Senior School Choir and Blackburn and Darwen Brass Band last night.
Dubbed ‘the Voice’, Russell performed a one-night-only gig with the Dishforth Military Wives Choir, one of 50 such choirs formed following choral guru Gareth Malone’s TV series, Westholme’s Senior School Choir and Blackburn and Darwen Brass Band.

Tickets ranged from £10 to £100 for a VIP package, which included a champagne reception, sponsored by Moore & Smalley and the chance to meet Russell after his performance.
All money raised will help support unemployed young people in the North West get back into work, education and training.
