THE headteacher of Bolton Muslim Girls School encouraged pupils to share Mala Yousafzai’s "passionate belief in her right to and the preciousness of education" at at the school's annual presentation evening.
The school celebrated success at the prize-giving event.
Idrish Patel urged young people to appreciate the education they are receiving, in contrast to the 66 million girls who have no access to school.
The event was hosted by head girl Amna Wajid.
Guest speaker Yasmin Qureshi, MP for Bolton South-East, spoke about the education as a key to success as she told about how she strived to become a barrister and then an MP.
In her speech she quoted Brigham Young: "You educate a man, you educate a man. You educate a woman, you educate a generation."
The bright young things were presented with their GGSE certificates and prizes during the evening presentation event.
